Just got home from the dentist. I was lucky! :D Originally was gonna fix this hole, but when she looked a bit closer on it today, she figured it was so small, so in stead of the whole drilling (or whatever you call it in English) and all that painful stuff, she just took on some whatsitcalled, and that was it! Saved me a whole lot of money too, not to mention the pain, yay! ^^

Yesterday Ina and I went to an animal shelter place, and took two of the dogs for a walk. Mine kept pulling on the leash (apparently she has that from her dad ^^), so she gave me a real exercise that way ^^ We hope to be able to go there once a week, even though it's not much exercise, it's some, and it's really nice taking the dogs for walks too. We also cuddled the cats there (originally that part is closed on the weekend, but they let us in anyway), I SO wanted to bring some of them home with me ^^;

Kiri's operation is on Wednesday. Talked to mum earlier today. Both she and dad wants me to just put her to sleep in stead of spending so much money on the surgery. I hate that she said that, and try to make me change my mind. Yes, it's a lot of money, which apparently they don't think is worth spending on a guinea pig, but I don't want to put her to sleep just 'cause her foot hurt a bit, come on! *sigh* The conversation with her actually made me a bit down, after being happy about the dentist thingy...

I'mma go play a bit now I think. I should really catch up on my flist and all that, but I don't really feel like it at the moment..

I made a few changes to my friends list. Not huge ones, but a couple of you might have found you've been removed. This is nothing against you, of course, but I've realized neither of us really read the other's journal or anything, we're not in touch anymore. So I hope you're not mad by me doing this :) I already get far enough behind on my flist as it is as well, so...


In other news, I'm home from England. Will give a better update about that later. Right now I'll have breakfast, and if the sun keeps shining, I'll head down to Paviljongen for a coffee (Paviljongen has one of the BEST views here on Nesodden, so I hope it'll be warm enough to sit outside)

I want to upgrade my playlist! And so I need more songs! I already know of a couple I want to download, but other than that... so I'd love it if you guys could give me some tips of songs I should listen to! If you could give me a download or youtube link so I can listen to it, that'd be great! Just gimme whatever songs you yourself like, and I can see if I find something I like too ;)


Also, I'm now alone in my apartment again. Adam left on Wednesday. It was very weird coming back to the apartment without him there, though I'm slowly getting used to it again, though it's very quiet here... Well, I'll hopefully be going to England in a few weeks to see him again anyway, so.
I'll write a more proper update about all that later :P


I might also buy myself a new laptop today. Maybe. I don't really have the money, and I'm really worrying about the money problem at the moment (I spent way too much while Adam was here as well -_- The reason what little money I have usually last me at other times, is because I'm usually just at home, buying whatever food I need to live, and only go to Oslo a couple of times a month or so, so I don't actually use too much money. Been travelling a lot to Oslo and doing a lot of things while Adam was here, which was great! But it killed my wallet)
Still I really wanna buy that laptop, lol. I've been thinking about it for ages, as the one I have takes 10 min to start up, and have lots of problems. Plus I'd really like to have a proper one when I go to England.
*Sigh* I don't know. Will get 1000 nok from driving my grandmother to the airport in the middle of the night on march 4th though, and I had a bit of money since Christmas (though just had to use most of that for a bill I got >_<)

Anyway. Leaving now, am hungry so gonna see if I can be bothered making some food.

Omg, yesterday was total chaos! Here we've been 'mocking' the English people when everything stops after a few inches of snow, and then the same thing happens here! (though we did have a lot more snow than them before the chaos started ;) )

Adam and I were invited to Ina's birthday party yesterday, and though the snow on my balcony is pretty much as high as the fence (no kidding! I'll take a photo later!), we didn't really expect any trouble.
Until we got into Oslo.
The tube didn't go all the way to where we needed to go because of all the snow, so we had to get off at Helsfyr and then try and go from there. Luckily Sussanne had joined us as she was going the same way, and we started walking for a bit (in 1/2-1 m snow that's not easy!), and finally running to catch a bus that went by the place we were going.
It was totally chaos! Took us ages to be able to get anywhere, and at a point I just wanted to try and get home ^^;

But all in all, we did survive, and the party was fun. Lots of Norwegian, of course, but Adam seemed to find some people to talk to, and enjoyed the party, which I'm really happy about :) (we also made a new drink! Vokda-cider-burn! or just vodka-cider ^^ Yes, it sounds weird, but it's actually rather tasty! XD)
And getting home was luckily much easier, as this time we went straight for the bus rather than taking the chance on the tube.

Right now Adam is preparing dinner (which'll be ready in an hour or so, it's nice to have someone cook for you at times! :D), then we're gonna meet Caroline in Oslo later and have a drink (some place we don't have to take the tube to! XD). It'll be nice seeing her again, it's been about half a year since I last did. (funnily enough, we ran into her yesterday in Oslo XD Which was nice timing as I had meant to call her and ask when to meet)

Tomorrow we'll prolly just relax and doing that jigsaw puzzle he gave me and stuff, lol ^^ The cottage trip won't happen now, sadly. Way too much snow to drive 3 1/2 - 4 hours up to the mountain -_- But there's always other opportunities!

In general, things are going rather well, and I'm happy :D

Hello people! Just thought I'd let you know I'm still alive! And no, I haven't been able to read up on a single flist entry yet! *is ashamed* -_- (also Kata, sososososo sorry I'm late answering your e-mail AGAIN! D: I've just been so busy with work, and then Adam arrived and I just haven't had time! *headdesk* soon, I promise!)

I realized I hadn't updated since I told you guys that Adam were coming to Norway. And so I figured I should write a short entry now, as he's finally here! :D
He arrived on Thursday evening and I picked him up at the Airport. We were worried his flight might be cancelled because of all the snow-problems in England, but luckily it was only a bit delayed :)
Ina and Line joined us for the first night, and it was loads of fun. I was of course a bit nervous finally meeting him, but I'm really happy he's here now :D I really am very comfortable with him, which is rare for me. But you don't hear me complaining! :D
I don't have time to write a long update or anything now, as we have to get ready soon to leave for Ina's birthday party (poor Adam, the only people there he'll know is me, and Line and Ina)

So yeah. I'm alive. Will see if I can write a better update later sometime. We were supposed to go up to the cottage next week, but it's snowing really badly now, so I'm not sure if it's the best idea to leave now :/ We'll see.

Oh my god, I'm so far behind on, well, everything! I think I have around a hundred LJ entries to read (as usual I bookmark them all, and there's a few I've read right away), several e-mail/comments in my inbox, not to mention all the things outside the computer/internet *pretends she still hasn't taken down her Christmas tree*

I can't really say I've been too busy, as I've been home most of the time. But, mentally busy? lol ^^; As well as I have no energy lately. My sleeping pattern is getting even worse (I've slept until around 4 the last few days or so) (though I'm tempted to blame this on Adam ;) *angel-smiley* every day we're on msn having video-calls, talking looong into the night ^^ I know we should both go to bed earlier, but it's just so darn hard, I just love talking to him so much! :D)

I will try to use at least a little time each day to catch up with things though. It will go slowly, but hopefully I'll get at least some things done.

I'm also starting working on Monday. It's the work-thingy where I'll be given lots of different assignments (not quite sure what kinds yet though), to figure out what I work best with, and like the best. This will go over two weeks; 8 days (or perhaps less). After that they'll help me find a proper job (part time), but I dunno how long that'll take. I just hope we'll find something that wont make me depressed/crazy like I've often been wherever I've worked before ^^;

In boyfriend-related news, Adam is coming to Norway! :D He's already booked flight tickets for the 5th of February, and has an open ticket so he can go home whenever he wants to. I sooo wish he was here already, but I have to be patient ^^ *hugs Adam tight*
(I also really hope I don't have to work on the 5th. That's supposed to be my last work day, but I've heard we might use less than 8 days anyway. If not, I'm gonna ask if I can work on the Friday the week before instead (I'm supposed to work Monday-Thursday for the two weeks))
(and yes, I know I said I'd write a proper update about the whole new-boyfriend-thing, sorry I haven't done that yet... XD soon, lol)

A close friend just wrote me a poem, inspired by my works! :D (we were talking about writings, and he read what I've put online, talking about genres and the writing styles etc. He really likes my way of writing, and got inspired by the way I do it)

So my new years eve is set.

I told mum I was thinking of just spending it home alone, with a nice dinner and TV, then watch whatever fireworks from my balcony (the one you shoot up in the sky is illegal now, so might be a bit fewer).
She suggested I'd ask Maria to come over (she was my best friend in school, and even though we barely get to talk the last couple of years, I still count her as one of my closest friends), which I did (I wanted to spend the new years eve alone really, believe it or not. But thought, yeah, ok, I could survive with one other person here)
Maria was however staying at her aunts empty house, because it's right next to her horses, so she wanted to be there when the fireworks goes off because they get spooked. However, she invited me over, which I said yes to.

I kinda regret it now though. I'm sure it'll be a nice time, but I really just wanted to stay home for new years eve. I can't call her again now and cancel it though, that'd just be stupid ^^;
At least it's on Nesodden, so I can just drive home again when we finish (she said I could sleep over, but I really don't like sleeping over at people's places)
She said she'd hear with Hanne Marit too if she wanted to come, and I said that was ok. Truth be told though, I don't like her that much. She's a nice girl, but very annoying. I actually got the feeling Maria thinks so too, but.

Ok, off to eat, am starving as I've only had a banana today.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Ok, so Christmas is almost passed, but whatever! This is the first time in 1-2 weeks I have a full day to myself, and can actually go properly online to check for updates and whatnot! Which is why I haven't been on LJ for a while ^^

So yes, it's Christmas. Yet I've not felt like it's been Christmas at all. Of course, the family dinners and everything is always nice, and I got some neat things I wished for. But I don't feel like it's Christmas, and I don't think I did much last year either. This makes me sad. I know I'll of course never get the feeling I had when I was a kid, but come on, I should at least feel a little Christmas spirit! *sigh*

Anyway, besides that, it's not been a bad Christmas. It's always so much to do, and now that I live alone I kind of have more to do than before - as now I have to prepare my apartment (didn't get done all the cleaning I said I'd do D: But at least it looks decent here now ^^; ), make some Christmas cookies, etc.
Then Christmas eve with my family (my little niece, almost 2 years old, thought all the presents were for her... XD), the family gathering on 1st Christmas day (the whole family on my father's side gather, this year we were, I think 38 people, only missing one person! Must be a new record. We have the weirdest traditions on this day though, mum suggested we should be in the paper for it XD), and on second Christmas day, I had brunch with my parents and some family friends (also tradition each year).
And today, first time in ages I can relax ^^
Dinner tomorrow with my parents and my brother and his wife, as the two of them celebrated Christmas eve with her family this year and not us :)

I don't really have any plans for New Years Eve. I am invited for a party in Oslo, but it'll just be a 'normal' drinking party, just with nicer clothes, and I don't think I want that. Plus I'd have to leave right after midnight anyway, to be able to get home. So no, I won't go there.
Might just stay home instead and make myself a nice dinner and watch whatever fireworks I can see from my balcony (though we're not allowed to send up the ones that goes high into the air this year, you get a huge fine if you do... XD But I guess there'll be some anyway ^^)

But yeah, that's my Christmas entry I guess ^^

I'm almost finished cleaning my kitchen completely, and will then make Christmas cookies! And the ginger bread dough for tomorrow, when Christina and Line will come :P
I also hope to be able to wrap the rest of the presents, and clean my bathroom throughout before the end of the day. If I can get all that done, I'll be happy with myself ^^ I'll still have the messy-corner to tidy, as well as vacuum cleaning and clean dust from shelves and whatnot, but the vacuum cleaning I'll do tomorrow as I'll be cleaning the guinea pigs' cage then too, and the rest I hope to get done on Monday.

Just came home from Flasken (direct translation; "The Bottle". Really cosy bar/café not far from where I live) where I met Sussanne, Øyvind and Trine (and Martin dropped by shortly too). Sussanne and I met around 4, knowing there would be some Christmas special later, and the others joined us around 6.
At 8 (to 10), there was one free drink for everyone (champagne ^^), and we all got a token which we could trade into a free gift worth 300,- ($45) when we left :D It was a drink/cocktails book called "A little more than just Drinks & Cocktails", which is nice as I have no books like that from before :)
It also have some fun quotes, like "Alcohol may be man's worst enemy, but the Bible says love your enemy" ^^

All in all we had a really nice evening. Ate some and had something to drink. And at 8 we got our free drink and all, and then left the place just after ten.
I also got my Christmas present from Sussanne and Øyvind, which was a wok-pan :D Just what I wished for! Now let's just hope I wont get another one from my family for Christmas, lol ^^ (because they hadn't been able to wrap it, I got to 'open' it right away ^^)

And that is pretty much my day :P


Tomorrow I need to make those Christmas cookies I meant to make yesterday, and try and really clean up at least most of my apartment. I've thought of doing that ages ago, but have really done very little >_< And since it's Christmas, I'll do everything properly, and dry dust from shelves and everything... Should prolly try and get to bed early today XD

Who just finished reading up on her flist completely? I did! :D
I didn't have too many left, as I try to read them right away, but there were some longer older ones I finally got around to read now. So let's keep up the good work and not let the un-read entries-list get too long again! ^^

Which reminds me, I still haven't started playing FFXII... ^^; I've own it for such a long time too! I've just... never gotten around to start playing it. The times I do play games, it's usually WoW. Guess it's because I know if I sit down and start playing FFXII, I'll never be able to move again... ^^;;; (with WoW, you don't have to go somewhere to save or anything, so it's 'easier' to just close the game and do other things, than it is with the FF games, so...)

Just wanted to rant about that, even if you've never played FF, you should see that movie :D (so many hot people too! lol)

Hmm, maybe I should make some icons from there... me being me, I still haven't gotten around to make any new ones O_o
